I'm running for a reason this April - will you support me?

This April, I'm participating in Stride for Safe Place - a virtual 5K benefiting Hanover Safe Place, a local non-profit serving survivors of domestic and sexual violence right here in Hanover County.

I wanted to reach out personally because this cause means something to me, and because I think it matters to you too.

Sexual violence affects 1 in 5 women and nearly 1 in 6 men in their lifetime. Every 68 seconds, an American is sexually assaulted. But here's what I believe: we have the power to change that. By supporting organizations like Hanover Safe Place, we invest in crisis support, counseling, legal advocacy, emergency shelter, and prevention education that makes our community safer for everyone.

During run week (April 20^th-24^th) I'll be completing a virtual 5K to raise funds and awareness for survivors in our community. My goal is [Your Fundraiser's Goal Will Automatically Go Here] and I would love your support.

Here's what your donation could do:

• $25 funds one call to the crisis hotline
• $50 provides food for a shelter resident for a week
• $75 provides hygiene and comfort supplies for a survivor arriving at shelter with nothing
• $100 covers a counseling session or advocacy appointment
